Mechanical Engineering Courses

Design: Engineering mechanics, materials, machine design, FEA, CAD, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, communication. Automation: Programming, electrical & electronics, sensors, pneumatics and hydraulics, communication.

Students without a relevant trade background must also complete workshop projects covering basic design, welding, machining and safety.

PARKING PERMITS
All cars must have a parking permit placed on their windscreen. This is for all students day and night. Parking permits can be obtained from the front office free of charge.
This is to stop people leaving their car at TAFE to catch the train.

Students using workshop or laboratory equipment must wear the prescribed PPE. (glasses/shoes)

The teacher may set additional clothing rules for tasks like welding.
